The picture above was taken from the south face of Magazine Mountain, in the Ozark National Forest of Arkansas. This beautiful little mountain sits directly behind my home, and rises to 2753 feet above sea level. The view of the river valley below is very impressive, and the air is fresh and clean. I call this place "my little piece of Heaven on Earth." I love to visit this area as often as I can just to meditate, pray, and BREATHE.

I am 71 years old, and have been a *heavy smoker for most of my life. My mother was a heavy smoker, and I loved the smell of her tobacco. I started stealing her cigarettes when I was about 10 years old. Mom caught me stealing one from her pack one day, and made me eat one, in hopes that it would discourage me from further stealing, and smoking. It didn't work. I loved the taste of tobacco. I stopped the stealing, but not the smoking. I have continued to smoke for the better part of 60 years. It is only by the grace of God, anti-cancer herbs, like Turmeric, and Breathing Techniques (that I learned at a very early age), that I am still alive. As a small boy I remember watching an old blind man smoke his cigarette. He would inhale the smoke, and then blow it all out. Then he would just keep blowing, and blowing, and blowing, until he would finally take another drag on his cigarette. I ask him what he was doing with all the "blowing", and he told me he was just "clearing his lungs of all the toxins he had inhaled." This made a profound impression on me, and I began to practice this technique myself. He was a wise old blind man. I am not suggesting that anyone should smoke. Smoking is a nasty habit, and a worse addiction than hereon. But if you already smoke (and even if you don't) I highly recommend you use the breathing technique that I will share with you here. I am living BREATHING proof that it works. 

*If  I sit in front of my computer all day, I will smoke nearly 2 packs of cigarettes a day. On my last visit to the doctor, for my yearly Medicare check up, I was told that my lungs are "as clear as a bell." 


I call this breathing exercise "The 8- 8-12 Technique." 

To begin this breathing exercise, start by blowing all the snot out of your nose. Keep blowing, and blowing, and blowing until your nasal passages are as clear as possible. 

Next, with pursed lips, blow all the air out of you lungs. Keep blowing, and blowing,  and blowing, through your mouth, until there is no air left in your lungs to blow. 

Immediately inhale, through your nose, as deeply as you can for seven (7) Counts, counting 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 in your mind. Take one more breath (8), through your mouth, swallow (this will top off your lungs with air), and then hold it for about eight (8) counts. 

Now, again with pursed lips, blow it all out for about twelve (12) counts. Always exhaling more than you inhale. 

Immediately repeat this method, and cycle of breathing for 8 reps, and several times a day. This will clear your lungs of all toxins, not just the tobacco smoke. You may cough up a little flem, or mucus, in the beginning of this therapy, but that is a good thing. Cough all that nasty toxic stuff out, and continue with your breathing exercise. 

This breathing exercise detoxifies your lungs, raises your bodies pH, allows the oxygen to reach your body's extremities, and feeds your blood cells with the oxygen they are starving for. 

I promise you, if you will apply this breathing technique, stick to a mostly alkaline diet, and *TAKE OFF YOUR MASK, there is a good possibility you will live, cancer free, to a ripe old age, with good healthy lungs "as clear as a bell."
